Arrival in Rome

As Matthew stepped off of the boat, he took a look around, thinking So this is Rome. Lovely city... so far, at least. One thing I've learned in my travels, never judge a book by its cover. Matthew walked away from the boat, beginning to wander around town. Noticing two attractive women looking at him, he said "Hello, fair lasses. If you don't mind my asking, why are two lovely women such as yourselves doing in this part of town?" One of the women gave Matthew a flirtatious look, saying "Hoping a man such as yourself would escort us home." "Well, ma'am, consider this your lucky day." Both of the women wrapped themselves around Matthews arms, and the yell of an angered man appeared. "Hey! What do you think your doing?" Matthew turned round, saying "Escorting these women to their abode, something wrong with that?" "One of those women is my wife!" "Yeah? Well, it ain't my fault your wife finds me more interesting than you." The angered man threw a punch, but it was caught by Matthew, who said afterward "That's not a very nice thing to do." Matthew spun around the man and held his blade to the mans throat. Matthew had then said "If I were you, I'd toddle off with my throat unpunctured and unharmed." The man ran away, frightened. Matthew turned toward the women, saying "Now, ladies, where were we?" and putting each arm around their shoulders. The women giggled at Matthews bravado, with Matthew thinking I think I'm gonna like it here.
